Welcome to the rules and policies page for Fall 2023. Please read and understand this so that I can have a successful growth year with your children. Please read carefully as I have updated the policies. Please also read the Rules inside the class policies for the kids and talk about them before coming to class.
Our Fall Session Starts September 1st, 2023. Every year I set a goal for each of my students and a milestone that they are expected to achieve. The following rules and makeup policies are set so that we can achieve that without any hurdles.
1. Classes are typically for 45 minutes-1 hour, and everyone must be on time so that we are not wasting other students’ and teachers’ time. Please message me if you are going to get late for drop off or pick up.
2. Starting September 2023, you can no longer use a missed lesson to be carried forward to your next month. Instead, if you miss a class, the kids can take 1.5 hours of class for the next two consecutive sessions. I find this to be the best option for busy parents. Alternatively, you can schedule a make-up lesson on a different day/time ( from your regular schedule) based on availability.
3. If you are going to cancel a class, please give me notice by 4pm the previous day. Please understand that this helps me open up your spot for make-up lessons. If notice is not provided I will not be able to give you a make-up lesson and the lesson will not be carried forward to next month. You can use a sick pass to get away from this policy but that will be provided only once every 2 months.
4. Your make-up lesson can only be used when you are on a regular paid lesson schedule. Your make-up lesson will be valid until the next fall year as long as you are on a regular paid lesson schedule.
5. Payment is to be made monthly at the beginning of each month. Every month typically there are 3-5 classes except for holiday months. Please check the calendar and pay accordingly or talk to me when in doubt. You cannot use a paid and missed class as a credit for next month anymore. You will get make-up as mentioned above( Point 3). This is so that I can run my classes smoothly and so that the kids are still on track.
6. I will let you know the schedule during the National holidays ( Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, etc) in advance so that you can pay accordingly. If a class is missed from my side due to any emergency, I will give you a credit for the following month or if you prefer a make-up class we can do that too.
7. If you have a vacation planned you can let me know before payment and skip paying for those weeks. If you are taking a 3 week or longer vacation I will remove you from my schedule to open up the spot for other kids. You can reschedule again after you are back from vacation.
8. Payment is through Paypal, Venmo, Or Zelle only. Cash, check, and Credit card are not accepted as payment forms. Let me know your preferred payment form and I will share with you the details
Rules inside the Class
1. The material list is provided to each student and they should bring it to class every week. Any additional special supplies that we use are available in class.
2. Usually, there is no homework but if something is given I expect them to finish it and bring it the next time they come to class.
3. Please do not bring any food to the class, this is disruptive to the other students. You may bring bottled water.
4. Please be respectful to the other students and their personal belongings.
5. Do not bring toys and other personal belongings which are not required for the class.
6. Do not disrupt the class by talking about things that are not relevant to our session.
7. Be on time and clean up and pack your stuff once the class is done so that you may leave without disturbing others when your parents are here to pick you up.
