Color in simple terms is reflection of light .
Color theory is broken down into 3 parts:
- Color Wheel
Primary Colors The colors RED,BLUE and YELLOW are called Primary colors because they cannot be achieved by mixing any other colors.
Secondary Colors The colors VIOLET(PURPLE), ORANGE and GREEN are secondary colors and they are achieved by mixing equal parts of two primary colors.
Tertiary colors The colors which are achieved by mixing a primary color with a secondary color.
The colors were represented in a color wheel for the first time by SIR Isaac Newton.

- Color Value
Value of a color is the lightness or darkness of a color.

Shade PURE COLOR Tint
TINT– When you add white to a color to make it lighter it’s called a TINT.
SHADE-When you add black to a color to make it darker it’s called a SHADE.
TONE -Tone is when you add both white and black(gray) to a color to give it a softer look.
- COLOR SCHEME
Color Scheme is when colors are put together in a way that makes them look good.
Monochromatic- Single color with its shades and tint.
Analogous-Colors next to each other on the color wheel for example: Red and Orange, Blue and Green
Complementary-Colors opposite to each other on the color wheel For Example: Yellow and Purple, Blue and Orange
